The positive cases of Covid-19 in Cyprus for the 5th of April were just 20 . The situation looks very promising as there is a constant decrease in daily cases. It is however too early to determine if we have reached the peak already and following the downward trend. The numbers are also very small to allow low random error.
For today, let’s see two interesting charts. 🕵️♀️

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏: Shows the daily cases in blue bars Vs the total cases in orange line. The decrease of 10 cases per day is obvious in the last three days. However, daily cases is not such a reliable statistic as it is subject to random, and is more valuable to see longer periods such as 3-days total. Having that in mind, some of the 58 cases of 1st of April could have been tested two days before on the 30th of March where the cases were just 16. On that note, we could consider the range of period 29th March – 4th of April between 30-40 cases.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟐: Showing the ratio of positive cases in respect to the number of tests. It was argued that as the number of tests increases, the cases increase. This is not true since the number of tests the last two days was high whereas the ratio dropped to 4% and 3%.
To conclude, the latest statistics are encouraging and hopefully good news will continue! ✌️
