As we are approaching the end of the lockdown, let’s have a visual of the daily / total cases statistics.
Chart 1 shows how the Total cases (orange line) has turned to almost horizontal, indicating the there is a very small increase each day. Indeed, for the last 23 days the daily cases were 1 digit number except just one day (28th April-15cases)!
In fact, for the last 11 days the maximum daily cases were 6. It would be of no suprise if zero new cases are announced very soon.
Another positive fact is that the number of tests have not significantly decreased, being more than 1000 each day. The table below shows that the daily test range between 1046-2427, whereas the ratio of positive cases is between 0.1-0.4%
Therefore, all the indications are very optimistic and it seems that Cyprus is in the final period of the pandemic, as the periods were clustered in a previous post. Looking forward to hear frequent announcements of zero cases and to exit the house without requiring persmission.
